Check the little box

Neutral, in the middle, not slanted, not taking sides, not leaning to one side or the other.

This is not what are media is any longer.  Media, I thought, was supposed to remain neutral.  Those who announced it, reported it, wrote about it,  and everything else.
It was supposed to be not favoring one side or another.  The last election was when I really noticed this, so this time, because I've seen the same thing happen,  I am trying very hard not to watch any station or read anything online or in print that does.( and it's not as hard as you think when you don't have cable

I'm fed up with the newspapers and even the very ads from the politicians themselves.
Slamming each other, telling lies ---out and out lies....the truth seems to be a shadow skulking behind the lies, afraid to show itself.  If truth about another were to sit up front, if it would compliment the other party, wouldn't it say something about the party from whence it came?
I'm not the only one who feels this way.

I was chatting with a friend about this horrible election, and wondered what it would be like to have an official in office without the wealth backing him up.  I'm not saying all who have money are dishonest nor are those without.  I just wonder what it would be like with the playing fields a little more open.   It could go either way, it could get interesting.  There were a few Presidents in the past who didn't have the wealth many do now.  Why do we need more ads when they are flinging more crap than a food fight in a frat house.  Waste.

No matter what,  I'm an American, I care about America, I care about our Constitution and about the very foundation of it.  What does that make me?
Do I look like I'm leaning?-- or am I just standing tall.

  1. You may know I was heavily involved in politics at one time. I ran for office, was head of my party in Massachusetts, managed some campaigns for other people, etc.

I now try to ignore it as much as possible. It only serves to raise my blood pressure and make me disagreeable to be around. I vote, and I know the issues and try to keep up with the actual views of the candidates, but the fluff and ephemera surrounding the campaigns makes me want to wretch.

Confetti would be nice - a comment even better.
Either one is greatly appreciated.
